ago,before
這兩個詞都可表示“從前”。其區(qū)別是：
1.ago一般只作副詞；而before除作副詞外，還可用作連詞、介詞。
2.ago總是與表示時間的名詞或形容詞連用，不單獨使用；而before可以單獨使用。
3.ago用于從現(xiàn)在算起的某段時間從前，和一般過去時連用，不用現(xiàn)在完成時。而before用于從過去某時起若干時間以前的場合，動詞需用過去完成時。
例如：
I left school three years ago我三年前離開了學(xué)校。
He said he had finished the job three days before他說他在三天前就完成了這項工作。
I told you before我以前告訴過你。
